Kasprowy Wierch is a 1987m tall mountain top in Western Tatra Mountains, where Poland and Slovakia are separated by a symbolic border. It’s a great place for hiking and skiing with one of the best views in Zakopane.
To get there you catch a bus or walk for an hour from the Zakopane city center to the cable car station that takes you all the way to the top. I highly recommend buying tickets in advance, so you don’t have to queue for hours, but before you buy your ticket check the weather conditions as well – if it’s foggy you won’t see anything. Tickets cost from 15 to 20 EUR depending on the season.
These pictures were taken in April when all mountain tops were still covered in snow:
I love that area
